Spring Fling luncheon benefits LSSI

More than 200 guests attended the annual Spring Fling luncheon on May 7 presented by the Women's Network of Lutheran Social Services of Illinois.

Held at the Westin Chicago Northwest, the event featured boutique shopping and a lunchtime presentation by "floral designer to the stars" Michael Gaffney.

Gaffney created beautiful bouquets and shared his tips of the trade. His floral creations, as well as several others donated by local florists, were awarded as raffle prizes.

The event raised $40,000 for children's services at Lutheran Social Services of Illinois.

The Women's Network of LSSI is a volunteer group that promotes awareness of the organization's programs and current needs, encourages advocacy, and fosters fellowship among its members. It is the largest statewide provider of social services.
