Benedictine seeks public comment

Benedictine University is seeking comments from the public about the university in preparation for a periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency, the Higher Learning Commission, one of six accrediting agencies in the United States that provide institutional accreditation on a regional basis.

Commission representatives will visit Benedictine's Lisle campus Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 7 to 9, to review the university's ongoing ability to meet the HLC's criteria for accreditation. The public is invited to submit comments regarding the university to:

Comments also may be submitted on HLC's website at hlcommission.org/comment.

Comments must be in writing and address substantive matters related to the quality of the university or its academic programs. All comments must be received by Friday, Oct. 7.

Benedictine University has been accredited by the HLC since 1958. The HLC accredits approximately 1,100 institutions in a 19-state region and is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
