HIGHWOOD, IL (MAY 2016) - The Highwood Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for its weekly Evening Market, Wednesdays starting June 15-August 31 from 4-9 p.m. in Everts Park, 130 Highwood Avenue. Now in its eighth year, this one-of-a-kind outdoor market has become the place to be for fun, food and entertainment, providing the North Shore with a social scene suitable for families, couples and friends of all ages to enjoy.

Encouraging the community to 'make a night of it,' this smorgasbord of food purveyors showcases a wide range of gourmet delicacies, homemade baked goods and sweets, and an assortment fare cooked on site from local restaurants, bars and food trucks. Guests are able to enjoy dinner and cocktails while exploring the market's artisan craft vendors and listening to different live music acts each week.

"Highwood's Evening Market has grown to be the place to meet up with friends and family for a great night outdoors," says Julie Brugioni, president of the Highwood Chamber of Commerce. "Everts Park transforms into a family festival each week with live music, dancing, dining and drinking under the stars, turning Highwood into one of the top must-visit destinations on the North Shore."

Everts Park offers open green space, two adjacent parking lots at the library and post office, a beautiful gazebo for live music, playground for the kids and room to mingle, shop, dine, drink and dance!

An outdoor market of this caliber is one-of-a-kind, with its live evening concert series from 6-9 p.m., and "Ravinia Festival-like" atmosphere.
