Pet clinic for seniors in Mundelein

The Lake County Health Department/Community Health Center's Animal Care and Control Program and The Regent Center in Mundelein are offering a low-cost pet vaccination and microchip clinic for pets owned by seniors age 55 or older Saturday, June 4. The clinic is 9 a.m. to noon, at The Regent Center, 1200 Regent Drive. Animal Outreach will offer pet nail trims for a donation of $5. For seniors' pets that have been spayed/neutered, costs are: $10 for one-year rabies vaccination and Lake County tag; $20 for one-year rabies vaccination, tag and distemper; $10 for distemper complex only; and $15 for a microchip. For pets not spayed/neutered, costs are: $50 for one-year rabies vaccination and Lake County tag; $60 for one-year rabies vaccination, tag and distemper; $10 for distemper complex only; and $15 for microchip. Pets are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. All animals must be at least 4 months old. Dogs must be leashed and cats placed in carriers. Cash only will be accepted.
