2016 Glen Ellyn Historical Society Vintage Auto Show Great Success

Saturday, May 21, beautiful automobiles rolled onto the Stacy's Tavern Museum driveway and parked everywhere on the History Center grounds. Proud owners put up their descriptive signs and the Bake Sale volunteers priced and readied the bakery goods for purchase. The car owners enjoyed purchasing the bakery goods and at 10:00 AM the crowds came to the absolutely FREE display. Chicago Mobile Pizza set up their mouth watering tent and lit the ovens. The remarkable weather certainly helped make this year's Auto Show a great success. Oh yes, the Bake Sale sold out at 1:30 PM and the Quilt Show at Stacy's Tavern Museum maintained tourists until 4:30 PM. Karen Hall, Executive Director of the Historical Society, thanked all the volunteers who aided in the great day. "Thank you so much for giving of your time and energy. We appreciate your loyalty and let's do it again next year!"
