McFun for Hoover Math and Science Academy

On Tuesday, May 17th, Hoover Math and Science Academy held a McTeacher's Night fundraiser at the McDonald's in Hoffman Estates. The McTeacher's Night was a fun way to bring the Hoover Math and Science teachers together and have the opportunity to meet the parents of students and members of the community while raising funds for the school. And, what a wonderful night Hoover had, as the restaurant was full of families supporting the school as well as waiting to see their teachers, Principal Schmelzer and Assistant Principal Ankrom, and a visit from Ronald McDonald.

Teachers had so much fun at this community event where they were able to interact with families and students. An amazing 15 teachers and staff worked from the school. The McTeacher jobs included, greeting guests, working the front counter, serving drinks, serving ice cream and selling delicious apple pies.

McTeachers had it all covered, and the families enjoyed a great evening. The school plans to use the money raised to support the school. Lots of students, teachers, families and friends came out in their support. All the kids came to see their teachers work at the McDonald's in Hoffman Estates.

A special thank-you goes to Jenny Cooper who organized the entire event. The McTeacher's Night was courtesy of the Hoffman Estates McDonald's owner/operator, David Bear.
