LHS 2nd Annual Care in Color Run Raises $7,000 for Michael Matters Foundation

The Libertyville High School Student Council Executive Board, along with Advisors Andrea Lara, Amanda Wine and Maggie Nicholson, would like to thank everyone who came out to support its 2nd annual Care in Color Run. This year, over 250 runners and 100 volunteers participated in what is quickly becoming a new LHS tradition. With the help of our very generous donors, the LHS Student Council was able make a $7,000 donation to the Michael Matters Foundation. This surpassed last year's donation to Safe Water Kenya by $3,000! It is amazing to see so many people from the community come together to support such a great cause and have fun all at the same time. To add to the fun, 102.3 XLC held a live broadcast from the event and many of our runners were interviewed on the air!

We could not have done this without the incredible generosity of our donors:

Dudley and Lake Attorney's at Law

Rust-Oleum

Guarantee Trust Life

JMR Landscaping

Thames Landscape and Design

Customized Garb

An additional thank you to our generous race partners:

Lovin Oven Cakery

Mickey Finns

Pizzeria DeVille

FIne's

Mark your calendar for May 6, 2017 for the next chance to Care in Color!
