Barrington High students seek investors at 3rd annual Incubator Pitch Night

Barrington High School business students will compete for thousands of dollars in funding for their startup companies Wednesday during the school's third Incubator Pitch Night.

The students have worked in groups all year on their own startup companies as part of the district's innovative business incubator class, which started during the 2013-2014 school year. At the end of that year, all five student-run companies in the competition secured funding, a total of $80,000.

New this year, audience members will have the chance to vote for their favorite business and participate in the selection process.

Pitch night starts at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, in the Barrington High auditorium, 616 W. Main St., Barrington.
