Salvation Army Tri-City Corps to honor volunteers

The Salvation Army Tri-City Corps in St. Charles will host its annual Volunteer and Donor Appreciation Dinner Friday, May 20, at the Joe K. Anderson Community Center, 1710 S. Seventh Ave., St. Charles.

Reception begins at 6 p.m. and dinner and program follows at 6:30 p.m.

This highly anticipated dinner will humbly give thanks and acknowledgment to the donors and volunteers who have allowed The Salvation Army in continuing its mission of "Doing The Most Good."

This year's distinguished speaker is an NBA three-time All Star legend, a Chicago Bulls Goodwill Ambassador, community advocate, author and Salvation Army supporter, Bob "Butterbean" Love. Love will discuss the importance of having support and involvement in our local communities and the great impact it makes for those most in need.

The Salvation Army appreciation dinner is completely free for volunteers and donors as just one way to show that their impact and support throughout the year, especially during the Christmas campaign, is vital and valued.

Special highlights also include awards such as the Joe K. Anderson Volunteer Award, Christmas volunteer bell ringer awards and more.
