Waukegan residents ID'd as Kennedy Expressway shooting victims

Authorities have identified a pair of Waukegan residents as the couple found shot to death early Sunday morning along the outbound Kennedy Expressway in Chicago.

The bodies of Eric L. Taylor, 44, and Camille C. Cooley, 36, were located about 4 a.m. in a parked Chevrolet Tahoe in a northbound lane of the expressway near Armitage Avenue, according to Illinois State Police.

Both had gunshot wounds to the head, and a black semi-automatic weapon was located inside the vehicle on the driver's-side floorboard, state police said. Taylor was in the driver's seat and Cooley was the front-seat passenger, according to police.

According to ABC 7, Illinois State Police said the shooting may be domestic-related.

Local northbound lanes of the expressway were closed for several hours Sunday morning while police investigated the shooting. Express lanes remained open.

Autopsies for Taylor and Cooley are still pending, ABC 7 reported.
