CLC Foundation golf benefit on June 13

The College of Lake County Foundation hosts its 2016 Golf Classic on Monday, June 13, at the Ivanhoe Golf Club, 28846 Thorngate Drive, near Mundelein. Golfers can participate in contests and win prizes at four hole-in-one contests. Prizes include an Indian Chief Vintage motorcycle, a luxury pontoon boat, a 2016 sports car and $10,000 cash. The event begins with a full breakfast and registration at 8 a.m., cart call at 9:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 10 a.m. After the 18-hole "scramble" tournament, continue the fun with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and raffles, followed by an awards dinner. A new feature this year is a Cuban cigar bar. Event tickets are $450 per person, $1,700 per foursome or $65 for the reception and dinner only. RSVP by May 27. The event benefits the College of Lake County Foundation scholarships and grants fund. In academic year 2014-15, the CLC Foundation connected 509 students to more promising futures with awards totaling $909,223.
