Worker at spa near Willowbrook faces prostitution charge

An employee of a spa near Willowbrook has been charged with prostitution after DuPage County Sheriff's detectives investigated a tip about the business, authorities said.

Seong H. Shin, 43, of Woodridge, faces one count of prostitution and one count of unlicensed practice of massage therapy, both misdemeanors.

Three other women who live in Naperville were taken into custody at the spa. Gi S. Jun, 43, Munseon Luna, 40 and Youn H. Kim, 46, each face one count of unlicensed practice of massage therapy.

Sheriff detectives received a tip about the business, Pine Tree Spa, on Route 83 in an unincorporated area near Willowbrook. Late Friday afternoon, an undercover detective set up an appointment, the sheriff's office said in a news release.

During the meeting, an offer was made to perform a sexual act in exchange for money, the news release stated.
