Bartlett woman dies from injuries in Campton Hills crash

A 78-year-old Bartlett woman seriously injured in a crash in Campton Hills in March died Wednesday from her injuries.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported that Hazel R. Harris, of the 100 block of 11th Avenue in Bartlett, was pronounced dead at 1:23 p.m. Wednesday at RML Specialty Hospital in Hinsdale, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

The crash happened March 2 on the 8N500 block of Woodbridge Lane, according to the Cook County medical examiner.

Harris was in the passenger seat of the vehicle driven by her husband when the vehicle left the road and hit a mailbox and tree around 6:40 a.m., a spokesman for the Campton Hills Police Department told the Sun-Times.

Harris was taken to RML Specialty Hospital in Hinsdale. Her husband was not hurt, police said.

It is unclear how the accident occurred. Heart disease and other medical conditions were listed as contributing factors, but her death was ruled an accident, the Sun-Times reported.
