Dist. 211 hosts community session on student drug use May 19

Palatine-Schaumburg High School District 211's next Community Education Session will focus on student wellness, drug use and abuse, and the impact personal decisions can have for students.

The session is scheduled for 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 19, at Conant High School, 700 E. Cougar Trail in Hoffman Estates.

Representatives from Kenneth Young Center and the Schaumburg Police Department will discuss and review current trends concerning students' access to, use, and abuse of narcotics and prescription medications.

Chelsea Laliberte, executive director of Live4Lali, which is dedicated to the prevention of drug-related deaths, will be a guest speaker.
