Minivan crashes into gas station

A minivan drove through a glass window of a BP gas station in Wauconda Thursday evening.

Nobody was injured when the vehicle went up over the curb just after 6 p.m. and shattered a front window of the station at 510 W. Liberty, Wauconda Fire Lt. Patrick Kane said.

"It made a big mess in the store," Kane said. "There was a display of beer and pop on the other side of the window that got knocked over."

The store closed temporarily while employees cleaned up. The driver was evaluated at the scene and released.
