Library presents FanCon: Comics & Pop Culture celebration

Experience a day filled with comics, superheroes, crafts, gaming, workshops and more! Meet illustrators and explore the world of their artwork in our Artists' Alley. Stretch your creativity in hands-on sessions, including drawing workshops with Paupers Art Guild and making Ectoplasm with the Des Plaines Ghostbusters. Hear from industry insiders like Sun Bros Studios' Wesley Sun on how he successfully crowdfunded a comic, and award-winning competitive cosplayer Lisa Hale about the art of costuming. Compete with others in tabletop and video game matches throughout the day. And don't forget to take a photo with The Dark Side as represented by members of the 501st Midwest Garrison.
