FIFA suspends Guam player in World Cup doping case

ZURICH (AP) - FIFA says a Guam player tested positive for doping at a World Cup qualifying match in March.

FIFA says the player, which it did not name, has been provisionally suspended from all matches for 30 days pending a disciplinary hearing.

The substance also was not identified, with FIFA citing its anti-doping rules which state further information may only be disclosed after the hearing process.

The positive test was taken after Guam lost 1-0 at Oman in Muscat on March 24.

Both teams failed to advance from a group won by Iran.
