GNC Holdings Inc., up $1.66 to $26.02

The nutritional supplement company said it started a strategic review and will consider a possible sale.

Helmerich & Payne Inc., down $3.07 to $63.05

The oil and gas well-drilling contractor disclosed a larger adjusted quarterly loss than analysts had expected.

Diamond Offshore Drilling Inc., up 28 cents to $24.54

The offshore oil and gas drilling contractor reported strong quarterly results.

China's Internet regulator is investigating the search engine over its medical advertisements.

Apollo Education Group Inc., up 97 cents to $8.77

A group of investors raised their offer for the University of Phoenix parent to $10 per share, or $1.1 billion.

Brocade Communications Systems Inc., down $1.10 to $8.51

The network services company said quarterly sales will fall far short of its estimates because of weak spending on information technology.
