5-star WR Demetris Robertson commits to California for 2016

BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - Five-star high school wide receiver Demetris Robertson of Georgia has officially committed to playing at California next season.

Robertson made the announcement Sunday at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta, near his hometown of Savannah, Georgia. He previously signed a financial aid agreement with Cal but had not committed to play for the Golden Bears.

Robertson was the nation's top-ranked receiver in the 2016 recruiting class according to Rivals, 247Sports and 247Sports Composite. He is a five-star recruit according to Rivals, Scout, 247Sports and 247Sports Composite.

Robertson totaled 3,332 all-purpose yards and 35 touchdowns in high school while playing running back, wide receiver and cornerback. He also returned kicks and punts.
