Girls soccer: Nagrant, Hoffman Estates top Hersey

Hoffman Estates' Natalie Nagrant scored twice in the first five minutes and finished with a hat trick as the visiting Hawks picked up a 3-1 victory in Mid-Suburban League girls soccer.

Getting assists for Hoffman Estates were Jennifer Nailor, Michelle Montes de Oca and Molly Salerno.

Sophomore Heidi Freitag had the goal for the Hersey.

Francesca Van stopped 7 shots for the Hawks and Andrea Cannon made 6 saves for the Huskies.

Glenwood Invite: Prospect (10-2-4) won the championship with a record of 1-0-2. In the de facto championship match On Saturday, Prospect's Aly Kobler's first half goal off an Ella Marzolf assist was the difference in a 1-0 win over Maine South. Mehgan Rickett earned the shutout in the goal.

In a 3-3 tie with Morton, Prospect goals were by Marzolf, Ashley Welk and Shawna Stokes. Rickett and Madden McDonnell handled the goalkeeping duties.

Leyden 2, Lincoln Park 0: Rosalia Trupiano scored and also assisted on Gabriela Castillo's goal as Leyden earned a nonconference win.

Huntley 2, Elk Grove 0: The visiting Red Raiders improved to 13-3-1 and Brenna Keegan and Bri Wilder scored.
