St. Charles library presents 'PR Secrets of a Media Insider'

Local business owners and community members are invited to attend a program that will teach them about public relations, identify their organizations legitimate news and bolster credibility that will result in additional media exposure.

"PR Secrets of a Media Insider," led by Matt Barron of Inside Edge: Public Relations & Media Services, is scheduled for Wednesday, May 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Charles Public Library, 1 S. Sixth Ave.

Baron will discuss the essential elements that consistently secure media coverage, from nonprofit organizations to companies selling a wide range of products and services. He draws on his 20 years as a journalist and 10 years serving more than 100 clients through his public relations and strategic communications practice. During his time as a journalist, Baron's work appeared in dozens of publications, including Time, USA Today and the Chicago Tribune. For the Tribune, his work spanned local government, business features, breaking news and personality profiles.
