Documentary on Cook County Forest Preserves airs May 15

"Chicago's True Nature: The Forest Preserves of Cook County," a one-hour documentary that explores the natural wonders and history of the Forest Preserves of Cook County, will debut at 7 p.m. May 15 on WYCC PBS Chicago. Other airings are at 9 p.m. May 16, 7 p.m. May 21 and 4 p.m. May 22. Produced by WYCC and Juneteenth Productions, the documentary captures the sights and sounds of the forest preserves, and discusses the benefits of nature, the impact of open land to our quality of life and what lies ahead for the one of the oldest and largest forest preserves in the nation.
