Why reward those who came here illegally?

Poppycock to the article "Immigration reform soon? No, experts say" on April 8. If people are here illegally, then why would you reward them with services provided to those who followed U.S. immigration laws.

The reason the House did not vote for any immigration reform is because it is tainted with lies and misrepresentations hurting the American worker. Kudos to Congressman Roskam and other members of the House that had their corruption radars up when they combed through that Gang of Eight Immigration Act and saw it for what it was, a sellout of the American worker.

Rep. Randy Hultgren is drinking the Kool-Aid when he speaks of "bringing the best and brightest into our country." Here's a news bulletin, we have the best and brightest here in America. College-educated and no jobs to be found because of cheap H-1B foreign labor. There is even fraud as to how India uses B-1, L-1 and F-1 student visas for cheap labor.

I ask, shouldn't an "efficient, humane and fair system" be for U.S. citizens, not illegal immigrants and foreign visa workers? High tech companies and Indian outsourcers in particular have lobbied for even more visa expansion. Americans are being displaced by cheaper foreign hires through these visa programs. These H-1B visas are issued to global outsourcing companies that are mostly from India where they send workers to America, get the skills, and then they move them back overseas, as well as the jobs they learned leaving Americans displaced.

Daniel Costa, Director of Immigration Law and Policy Research at the Economic Policy Institute, said, "There's a lot of evidence now that the program is used for cheap labor in the tech industry."

As our manufacturing jobs went to China, the lobbyists, and ill-informed politicians are allowing India in taking our IT/tech jobs.
