COD Cosmetology Students Help Beautify Campus

College of DuPage Cosmetology students demonstrated their skills, offering free services April 20 on the Glen Ellyn campus as part of Beauty Week. Students offered free face mapping and consultations and manicures. Click here to view more photos. The Cosmetology program's salon is currently open to the spring term. Located at the College's Addison Center, 301 S. Swift Rd., the salon is open on Mondays, from 6 to 8 p.m.; Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Salon services are available by appointment or walk-in. Under the supervision of licensed instructors, students perform a full range of beauty services including, cuts, styling, color, manicures, pedicures, skin services, facial waxing and more. The Cosmetology program will host an information session for potential students at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, at the Addison Center. These sessions are free and open to the public. During the sessions, attendees can meet with faculty to discuss degree and certificate options, career choices and job prospects. The sessions will also include information on admissions, financial aid, scholarships and services for adult learners. Click here to RSVP for this session.
