Softball: West Chicago, Lake Park, Wheaton North win

With two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning against Streamwood, West Chicago's Barb Richert drove in Gianna Hernandez from second base to give the Wildcats the 4-3 win. Richert also scored a run and was 2-for-4 at the plate. Pitcher Taylor Dehaeseleer struck out five in the win.

Plano 7, Lisle 6:

Despite 10 strikeouts in 8 innings pitched by Audrey Palicka and Catherine Coppin's 3 hits, Lisle lost the Interstate Eight contest.

Lake Park 10, Glenbard North 0:

The Lancers had their way on Tuesday behind a 1-hitter thrown by Natalie Grubszak. Meghan McCabe hit 2 doubles and Dina Falk, Michala Belter and Jessica Gaseor also doubled for Lake Park.

Wheaton North 8, Neuqua Valley 4:

Neuqua's Lauren Notestine cleared the fences for a home run, but Wheaton North pitcher Sarah Gorzak held on for the DuPage Valley Conference victory.
