Car crashes into wall, Starbucks in Libertyville
Two people were taken to the hospital after their vehicle crashed into a wall outside Starbucks in Libertyville Monday afternoon, fire officials said.
The crash happened just after 3 p.m. at the Starbucks on the 100 block of Buckley Road, Libertyville Assistant Fire Chief Brian Conner said.
Nobody was injured inside the coffee shop when the vehicle crashed - first into a brick wall around the trash bins outside the store and then into the building. The two occupants of the vehicle were taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville with nonlife-threatening injuries.
The coffee shop wasn't seriously damaged, he said.
"They hit the wall first, and it doesn't appear that there's any structural damage to the (Starbucks)," Conner said.
