True conservatives should elect Koppie

I know too many people who will vote for Sen. Kirk because he's a Republican, but he frequently agrees with Democrats.

Here are some of his latest interest-group ratings: Planned Parenthood, 100 percent; NEA, 100 percent; John Birch Society, 35 percent; and Gun Owners of America, 0 percent.

I hope that all Illinois conservatives will help the campaign of Chad Koppie, of the Constitution Party. Mr. Koppie is in his second term on the Kane County Regional Board of Schools. In 1998, he was the only conservative Republican who ran against George Ryan in the governor primary.

Mr. Koppie is pro-life, pro-gun rights, anti-illegal immigration, pro-fair tax and pro-spending cuts.

If all Illinois conservatives cooperate and help Mr. Koppie's campaign, the liberal vote will split among Sen. Kirk, Rep. Duckworth, and Scott Summers (of the Green Party), helping Mr. Koppie win.
