Pizza Fest is back in Buffalo Grove

The Rotary Club of Buffalo Grove is once again hosting its annual Pizza Fest to showcase one of the all-time best foods - pizza - and to raise funds to support community programs.

Put cooking on the back burner and bring the family to Pizza Fest from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, at Buffalo Grove High School, 1100 W. Dundee Road, Buffalo Grove. Admission is $2; each slice of pizza is $2; dessert is $2; and any drink is $1.

Come and enjoy many varieties of pizza from local favorites including Lou Malnati's, Wa-Pa-Ghetti's, Domino's, Mug's and more. Rotary appreciates the contribution these businesses and Culver's are offering to help Rotary advance its mission of doing good in the world.

During this benefit, the Rotary Club of Buffalo Grove will collect nonperishable food items to help stock up the Wheeling Food Pantry and Kingswood Food Pantry in Buffalo Grove.

Rotary is the world's first and largest service organization, whose members form a global network of business, professional and community leaders volunteering their time and talents to serve their communities and the world.

Rotary is not a business networking organization. Rotarians focus on 'Service above Self' as a commitment toward bettering the world around them. Strong fellowship among Rotarians and meaningful humanitarian service projects characterize Rotary worldwide. Rotary International is working to eradicate polio, end poverty, and promote world peace and cultural understanding.

Buffalo Grove Rotary supports many local charities and community initiatives, including hunger relief, safety programs, Special Olympics, park improvements, school programs and student exchanges. Beyond its local efforts, members have traveled to global service projects that include providing fresh water in Africa, development projects for schools in the Guatemalan jungle, and immunization efforts to eradicate polio in India and Nigeria.
