Hanover Park motorcyclist dies from injuries in Bartlett crash

A motorcyclist who died Friday after colliding with an SUV in Bartlett has been identified as a Hanover Park man, authorities said Friday.

Sohair Rahim, 20, was fatally injured about 12:30 p.m. Thursday in a crash at Bartlett Road and Route 59, Bartlett police said.

Rahim was headed north on Route 59 on a Suzuki motorcycle when he struck a Ford Escape that was turning left from southbound Route 59 onto eastbound Bartlett Road, Bartlett police said.

Rahim died at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates.

The driver of the Ford Escape, Donald C. Dick, 89, of Bartlett was ticketed for failure to yield while turning left, police said.

Dick was treated at St. Alexius Medical Center and released.

The crash remains under investigation.
