Schaumburg police seek suspect in 2014 sex assault

Schaumburg police are seeking assistance in apprehending a man wanted in connection with a sexual assault and domestic battery that occurred in 2014.

Demetrius D. Singleton, 42, is wanted on a warrant related to charges of aggravated criminal sexual assault and aggravated domestic battery, police said Thursday.

He is believed to have fled the Schaumburg area and may now reside in the Champaign-Urbana area, police said. Singleton reportedly has violent tendencies and should be considered dangerous, according to police.

Singleton stands about 6'3," weighs about 230 pounds and usually has a shaved head, police said.
