Creating joy at home topic of parent series

The Glenbard Parent Series Navigating Healthy Families presents the "Power of Joy in the Home" at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at Glenbard South High School, 23W200 Butterfield Road, Glen Ellyn.

"Joy, Inc." author Richard Sheridan will discuss what it takes to create a joyful culture at work and bring that same joy home. The same skills we look for at work - creativity, imagination, energy, enthusiasm and optimism - can be cultivated in our children, he says. The roots of both emanate from the same basic human need for feeling safe and living without artificially manufactured fear.

Sheridan is the CEO and founder of Menlo Innovations.

This event is for adults who want examples of a healthier, happier atmosphere at work and home. Students also are welcome.
