Benet 6, Marian Catholic 5:
Trailing the East Suburban Catholic game 5-2 heading to the bottom of the sixth, the Redwings (5-7, 1-2) scored 4 runs to seize victory. Alec McEachern drove in 2 runs with a single, Marty Dosen doubled home a run and Tyler Bautista singled in the go-ahead run. Zach Strons pitched 3 scoreless innings of relief to earn the win.
Glenbard West 4, Downers North 0:
Zach Lutz pitched 6-plus scoreless innings for the win in the West Suburban Silver, and Elliot Hamilton picked up the save for the Hilltoppers (4-9, 3-4). Kevin Spencer went 2-for-4 with a double and drove in all 4 runs for Glenbard West. R.J. Paul went 3-for-3. James Krick went 2-for-3 for Downers North (5-9, 3-3).
Addison Trail 11, Proviso East 1:
Nick Villasenor pitched a 5-inning no-hitter with 6 strikeouts and no earned runs as the Blazers (6-5, 3-2) swept in the West Suburban Gold. Simon Marinelli doubled, tripled and drove in 2 runs. Ricky Perez and Alex Neri also had 2 RBI.
Waubonsie Valley 3, Neuqua Valley 2:
Luke Gregorio's two-out solo home run in the top of the seventh provided the Warriors (11-4, 6-3) with the game-winning run in the DuPage Valley. Jason Neville pitched 6 innings to earn the victory while Jacob Hennessy added a scoreless seventh for the save. Nick Santoro and Quinton Zielke had 2 hits apiece. Kevin Ringlein went 2-for-3 for Neuqua Valley (6-6, 4-5).
Naperville Central 5, Metea Valley 4:
A 4-run bottom of the fourth powered the Redhawks (12-4, 6-2) to victory in the DuPage Valley Conference. Conor Joyce doubled and drove in 2 runs while Connor Gurnik went 2-for-4. Tyler Brinker was the winning pitcher in relief of Zac Bianucci. Conner Lovely, Anthony Greco and Ashton Creal went 2-for-4 for the Mustangs (6-7, 3-6).
Glenbard East 10, Larkin 4:
Michael Sebby went 3-for-4 with a double, home run and 2 RBI for the Rams (9-5). Nathan Bertuca went 2-for-3 with 3 RBI. Brett Tomlinson was the winning pitcher.
Wheaton North 7, Naperville North 4:
The Falcons (8-4, 4-1) broke out to a 6-1 lead in their DuPage Valley Conference win. Casey Becker and John Carlson drove in 2 runs apiece while Ryan Muehlfelt and Zach Colangelo each had 2 hits.
Hinsdale South 8, Downers South 6:
The Hornets (15-2, 8-0) swept in the West Suburban Gold, rallying from a 6-4 deficit by scoring 4 runs in the top of the sixth. Mike Nicosia went 4-for-5 while Terrence Cribbs drove in 3 runs and Tim Dziergas went 3-for-4.
St. Francis 12, Bishop McNamara 4:
The Spartans (13-1, 5-1) won for the sixth straight time, five coming in the Chicago Catholic League. Foster Heise went 3-for-3 with a homer and 2 RBI. Tim Lilly drove in 2 runs. Tommy Mayor was the winning pitcher.
Willowbrook 11, Morton 1:
The Warriors (6-6, 3-1) took two of three in the West Suburban Gold series after building a 7-0 first-inning lead in the five inning win. Matt Pizur doubled, tripled and drove in 3 runs while Kyle Ferguson drove in 4 runs. Winning pitcher Cam Zunkel struck out four and allowed 1 hit in 3 innings.
