One injured in Fairfield Road accident near Round Lake

One person remains in critical condition after a crash on Fairfield Road near Round Lake Wednesday.
Lake County sheriff's deputies were dispatched to Fairfield Road south of Route 120 near Round Lake for an accident with injuries at 6:50 a.m.
Authorities said a 2008 Honda Odyssey minivan was stopped in traffic near Route 120 when it was struck from behind by a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country minivan.
The driver of the Chrysler was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville in critical condition, authorities said. The driver of the Honda was not injured.
The accident remains under investigation. Witnesses are encouraged to call the sheriff's office at (847) 549-5200.
