Campus safety seminar at Harper College April 27

State Rep. Michelle Mussman and representatives from the Illinois attorney general's office will host a Campus Self-Defense Seminar from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, at Harper College in Palatine, to discuss ways students can keep themselves safe while away at college.

"When our children attend college to pursue a higher education, they also need to be aware of risks to their personal safety in that environment," Mussman said in a news release Thursday. "That is why I am hosting this seminar to educate young women and also men about how they can recognize and protect themselves and their classmates from such terrible crimes."
