Woodlands Academy's Congé fundraiser is April 30

A London apartment for a week and two tickets to a Jimmy Kimmel show are among items up for bids during the live auction portion of Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart's 43rd annual Congé fundraiser Saturday, April 30, at the Glen View Club, 100 Golf Road, Golf.

It all begins with cocktails and silent auction at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and the program, including the live auction. New this year is a nightcap called Après Soirée - a mix of coffee, desserts, liqueurs and jazz trio - at 10 p.m.

In addition to the London apartment and Jimmy Kimmel tickets, live auction bidders will vie for other opportunities such as tickets to Beyoncé and James Taylor concerts, a Wrigley Field skybox experience for 15, and a Bulls or Blackhawks executive suite experience.

In addition, there are a number of silent auction items offering even more possibilities, including sports tickets, rounds of golf, group parties, including a Ravinia picnic outing to Paul Simon's concert, a Chicago weekend with dinner and hotel, and shadowing Larry Potash for a day at WGN-TV.

Tickets for the event are $200 each and can be purchased online at www.woodlandsacademy.org/support/congé.

Sponsorship opportunities also are available as another way of supporting Woodlands' mission of educating young women.

More information about Congé is available online or by contacting Kathy Fivelson, Woodlands Academy's special events coordinator, at (847) 234-4300, ext. 226.

Congé is derived from the French word for "play date."
