U-46 to host second Realtor Breakfast Thursday

A parent organization will host a breakfast presentation to inform real estate agents about the academic and extracurricular opportunities within Elgin Area School District U-46 and particularly those within the Bartlett-area schools.

"Realtors are our direct link to new families and these presentations have proven to be invaluable amid the busy spring selling season," said Tony Sanders, CEO of Elgin Area School District U-46. "We know that once people learn about the breadth and depth of our curriculum and opportunities, such as our Dual Language program and our comprehensive special education services, they are much more comfortable and eager to let others know that this district is indeed a wonderful place to raise a family."

This is the second Realtor breakfast this year; another was offered in February at Elgin High School. Sanders will present an overview of the district and programs in local schools. Realtors also will have an opportunity to ask questions and tour Bartlett High School.

The U-46 Citizens' Advisory Council's Family and Community Engagement Committee has organized the breakfast presentation, with support from BMO Harris Bank.

The breakfast will be held 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, April 14, at Bartlett High School, 701 W. Schick Road

The event is free but Realtors must register to reserve a seat. For more information, call Karla Jiménez, coordinator of Family & Community Engagement at (847) 888-5000, ext. 4211.
