First Midwest names new information, operations chief

ITASCA - First Midwest Bank announced Jo Ann Boylan has been appointed as executive vice president, chief information and operations officer.

She will be responsible for overseeing information technology, deposit and loan operations, facilities and project management at First Midwest Bank. Boylan's appointment was part of a planned succession to Kent S. Belasco, who retired on April 1 after 30 years of service with First Midwest.

Boylan's career spans over 30 years, most recently at MB Financial Bank as chief technology officer. Previously, she held leadership positions of increasing responsibility at AmTrust Bank (acquired by New York Community Bank) and KeyCorp. Boylan holds a bachelor of business administration degree in computer applications from Pennsylvania State University and is actively involved in several professional and community organizations, including Special Olympics Illinois.

"We are extremely pleased to have Jo Ann as a member of our executive leadership team," said Mark G. Sander, president of First Midwest Bank. "I am confident that her extensive background in information technology and systems, as well as general bank operations, will be a great benefit to us as we continue to grow and provide the leading, high quality products and services our clients expect from First Midwest."
