Hawthorn Woods hosts 'Bark in the Park'

Dogs are welcome to gather with family and friends at Community Park in Hawthorn Woods for the annual Bark in the Park event.

This free community event will take place Saturday, April 9, from 10 a.m. to noon. This event is sponsored by Oak View Pet Resort, which has locations in Lake Zurich and Wauconda. Visit them online at www.oakviewpetresort.com.

At Bark in the Park, dogs can run, jump, roll over and play with other friends. Canine friends will enjoy treats, pampering, fun activities and more by vendors and contributors. Activities and services included at the event include an off-leash area, training demonstrations and tips, grooming and boarding information, adoptable dogs, dog cookies, gift items, and more. Complimentary treats provided by Bentley's Corner Barkery in Long Grove.

Community Park is at Old McHenry and Quentin roads in Hawthorn Woods. Participating dogs are encouraged to have current influenza vaccine. Leash all dogs.
