Schaumburg Library Offers Classes for iPad, iPhone and Windows Users

A wide variety of classes designed for computer and iPhone users are coming to the Schaumburg Township District Library in April. Among them are Windows 10, iPad/iPhone Basics, and Access Basics. Registration is required, and fees are $12 for Schaumburg Township residents, $17 for non-residents, and $9 for seniors (over age 50). All classes are held in the Computer Lab on the second floor of the central library, 130 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg.

"Windows 10" will take place at 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 8. Participants will use the library's new surface tablets to learn how to manage files and folders, install new programs and change the background.

"iPad/iPhone/iOS Basics" will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 9. Attendees will become familiar with their devices and also receive tips on choosing devices that best meet their needs. In this hands-on class, students will get on the Internet, download and use apps, organize their screens, remove unwanted apps, set up email and more.

The "Access Basics" class will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 16. Attendees will learn how to use a database management system to organize, find and present information quickly and accurately.

Those interested in attending must register in person at the Computer Assistance Desk with cash, check or a credit card, or over the phone with a credit card by calling (847) 923-3352.
