Author to speak on China's Cultural Revolution in Mettawa

Author Jian Ping will discuss her family's story of surviving chaos and persecution during China's Cultural Revolution (1966-76) at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 10 at the Stevenson Center on Democracy, 25200 N. St. Mary's Road, Mettawa. Her memoir "Mulberry Child" has been turned into an award-winning documentary film and was broadcast on PBS.
