Chicago Fire loans out Doody, Conner

The Chicago Fire on Friday announced the loan of midfielder Drew Conner and defender Patrick Doody to USL affiliate Saint Louis FC.

Both are homegrown players. Doody is in his second year out of Indiana University and Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville. He also spent time with Saint Louis FC last year. He played in seven games for the Fire in 2015.

Conner is in his first professional season. He played at the University of Wisconsin and Cary-Grove High School in Cary.

Neither Doody nor Conner has seen any action with the Fire through the first three games of the 2016 MLS season.

The loans leave the Fire with 22 players on the active roster. Both players can be recalled at any time.
