Palatine Rural Fire Protection District seeks new board member

The Palatine Rural Fire Protection District is accepting resumes for an upcoming opening on its board due to an expiring term.

The current term expires on April 30, and the new three-year term begins May 1.

"We are seeking candidates who have a passion for the community, and a desire to be involved with the rural fire protection district," Palatine Township Supervisor Sharon Langlotz-Johnson said.

The board is a three-member panel that meets once per month. Each board member is assigned to a three-year term. Their role is to supervise, control, regulate and manage the rural fire protection district.

Resumes will be accepted until Friday, March 25, and interviews are expected to occur the last week in March.

Applicants must be a township resident and it is preferred the person live in the rural fire protection district. Resumes can be emailed to: sljohnson@palatinetownship.com. For more information, call (847) 358-6700.
