Palatine Library to Exhibit IAEA Student Art Show 2015-2016 in April

The Palatine Public Library District is proud to exhibit the touring 2015/2016 Illinois Art Education Association (IAEA) Student Show, from April 1 through April 30. This exhibit consists of 40 pieces of award-winning art created from Illinois K-12 students. These outstanding pieces were selected from over 650 entries submitted for the annual show. For more about the Illinois Art Education Association visit https://ilaea.org/about.

One Palatine student has his art in the show: Hubert Radzik, from Lincoln School. His award-winning tempera painting is of a landscape, based off the art of folk artist Heather Galler. This is the third year in a row that a Lincoln School student's art has been selected to be in the show. "Hubert is a very talented artist and deserving of this honor. We at Lincoln School are so proud of him," says Lee Ann Karsbaek, Hubert's art teacher.

Visit the second floor of the Main Library in April to view these award-winning artworks with a variety of techniques including: drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, weaving, and metal work.
