Glenbard North principal going bald for a cause

Have you ever wondered what Glenbard North High School Principal John Mensik would look like bald? You can find out Friday, March 18, when he shaves his head for charity during Glenbard North's spring pep rally.

The Glenbard North Key Club will have its first fundraiser for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, which benefits childhood cancer research and helps give survivors long, healthy lives.

The St. Baldrick's Foundation is known for its signature head-shaving events. Participants will have their heads shaved by professionals to raise money and awareness while also showing support to those fighting cancer.

Mensik will be joined by faculty and staff including Peter Giaquinta, Brian Quentin, Eric Sundquist, Matt Carey, Scott Meyers and Joseph Kulesza in having their heads shaved in front of students. More people are volunteering each day.
