Starrett wins Kane County District 10 GOP nod

Kane County District 10 board member Susan Starrett won the Republican nomination to keep her seat, according to unofficial results.

She collected 1,835 votes to Doug Sullivan's 1,367, with all 15 precincts reporting.

Starrett, of North Aurora, is seeking her second term. Sullivan, of Batavia, had criticized her record of attendance at county board and Kane County Forest Preserve District meetings. She criticized him for seeking the paid political seat at the same time he works for a public agency, the Pace Suburban bus service.
