Palatine's Tiger Sharks swim team offers tryouts

Palatine Park District Tiger Sharks Swim team is a USA Swimming and Illinois Swimming year-round competitive swim team offering professional coaching. The team is a multi-ability, multilevel program that offers competitive opportunities, technique development and fun for swimmers ages 6 and older.

The goal of the team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability.

Tryouts for the team will be from 6-7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 29, and Wednesday, March 2, at the Harper College Pool in Building M off Algonquin Road. Interested swimmers are invited to stop by during either training date for an evaluation. Coaches will be on hand to answer questions about the program. Swimmers should bring a swimsuit, goggles and a great attitude to the tryout.

Early Bird registration for the summer long-course season will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 7, at Birchwood Gym, 435 W. Illinois Ave., Palatine. Early Bird registration includes a $15 discount and also guarantees a T-shirt for each swimmer registered. The season will begin March 28.
