Missing Beach Park woman found

A 28-year-old Beach Park woman who was reported missing Tuesday was found unconscious but breathing in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Wednesday afternoon, officials said.

Lake County sheriff's spokesman Chris Covelli said Danielle Schultz was found inside her silver 2006 Dodge Durango just after 3 p.m. Wednesday by an acquaintance who happened to be driving by.

"It was very lucky," Covelli said.

He said Schultz was taken to a Kenosha hospital in critical but stable condition.

Schultz's car was parked in a lot on the 2700 block of Alford Park Drive in Kenosha, which is around 14 miles north of Schultz's home.

On Tuesday, the sheriff's office began a search for Schultz, who hadn't been seen since around 9 p.m. Monday, when she made comments about threatening to harm herself and left her house. Schultz drove away from her house in her car without her cellphone, purse or wallet.

Covelli said that at the peak of the search as many as 10 detectives were searching for Schultz, a number that does not include officers from other police departments who were asked to assist.
