Villainous engagement

Even villains like to rock. For almost five years, V Is For Villains has been showing the nation its version of what "world domination" would sound like. The Des Plaines and Elgin-based electronic industrial rock band formed by brothers Nicholas (Mr. Agitator) and Jonathon (Fallon Flynn) Santiago has been playing revered Chicago venues such as Metro and the House of Blues, as well as bringing down the house at conventions across the country. With their comic book personas, stylish and energetic stage shows and costumes lovingly crafted by musician and seamstress Analise Rahn (Vex), the trio's highly-stylized performances have been taking over eardrums (and then the world?) wherever they play. Catch the show at Bottom Lounge when they team up with (the diabolical) Vent to Atmosphere, (the probably evil) Lowcountry and (the more than likely nefarious) Rotten Mouth. Bottom Lounge, 1375 W Lake St., Chicago. $10. (312) 666-6775 or bottomlounge.com. 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19
