Des Plaines events to explore how to save for college

Des Plaines Elementary School District 62 is inviting parents, grandparents, guardians and community members to three "college savings nights" to learn about saving for their child's future college tuition.

Representatives from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission will discuss College Illinois! and Bright Start, two programs offered by the state to help families save for college. They also will talk about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The presentations are scheduled from 6 to 7 p.m. Feb. 24, at Algonquin Middle School, March 9, at Iroquois Community School, and March 16, at Chippewa Middle School. Space is limited. To register, visit collegeillinois.org/rsvp or call (847) 824-1136.
