Latiolais, Wauconda shoot by Grant

Dylan Latiolais drained five 3s on his way to 17 points, helping host Wauconda past Grant 60-47 in North Suburban Prairie boys basketball action Friday night.

Wauconda's upset allowed North Chicago to clinch the division championship.

Bryan Nee made 11 of his 14 free throws and scored a game-high 19 points for Wauconda (8-14, 5-6), which jumped out to a 20-11 lead after the first quarter and went on to outscore Grant in the both the third and fourth quarters.

Jarod Stonis scored 13 points, Kyle Drobnik had a team-best 6 rebounds, Latiolais came up with 3 steals and Danny Stanley contributed 2 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists for Wauconda.

John Kerr led Grant (13-12, 8-3) with 17 points, and Ben Kusiak and Kyle Dupree had 7 apiece.

North Chicago 80, Round Lake 45: Senior guard Michael Green scored a game-high 19 points but the visiting Panthers (4-19, 0-11) couldn't keep pace with North Suburban Prairie champion North Chicago (15-9, 11-1).

Lake Forest 63, Mundelein 40: On senior night, Justin McMahon led the Scouts with 18 points in the North Suburban Lake game.

Ryan Kitchel added 12 points for Lake Forest (14-8, 7-4).

Mundelein fell to 2-24 and 0-10.
